Mourning the Loss of a Great Friend - Actor and Comedian, David Grant.

It is with much grief I must knowledge the passing of Comedian/Actor Dave Grant who was one of the stars of The Un-Australian.
Dave was the victim of cancer and is survived by his wonderful wife, Karen and three children.
His memorial service saw over 400 people pack the St Kilda RSL in Ackland Street, Melbourne in February this year.

A comedian of great standing here in Australia, the auditorium was packed. Many of the great and successful comedians of this country came to pay their last respects. It was a very moving day. The love and respect David and his family were shown was wonderful and uplifting as well as sad. The anecdotes flowed and so did the tears. I personally believed he was a great actor talent waiting to be discovered. David's solid, honest persona will be sorely missed. David was always there with a word of encouragement to new talent and was responsible for spotting some of the most talented  comedians in the country before anyone else.
